A collection of 6000+ online books searchable by title, author, subject,
keyword, publisher, or year. Books can be previewed for 15 minute intervals
or checked out for 24 hours. You will need to establish a personal account
to check out a book. Follow the instructions under "create an account"
at the top of the NetLibrary homepage. As these titles are included in
the Stout Library Catalog with a link to the full text book, you may also

This collection includes technical books and manuals and is very strong
in information technology subjects. Search across multiple books simultaneously,
which allows the collection of books to be searched as a database rather
than as a single book.
- University of California Press: eScholarship Editions - Over 1400 online editions (over 400 available to general public) of books from the University of California Press. Searchable, and browsable by subject, author, and title.
- Digital Book Index - Provides free access to more than 80,000 titles records from both commercial and non-commercial publishers, universities and private sites. Titles range from the Ancient Agriculture to Space Flight. Includes more than 2000 Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Thesauri, Glossaries, Bibliographies, Timelines, Chronologies, and Literary Histories.
- Free Web E-Books - This directory offers annotated links for electronic book information in the categories of Free E-book Sites, Free Personal Digital Assistant [PDA] Sites, Commercial Sites, and E-book Reader Software. Also includes tips for reading e-books online, searching for text in e-books, and saving e-books. Provided by the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library (CA).

It also aims to encourage the development of such online books, for the benefit and edification of all. Lists over 25,000 free books on the Web. The site is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Library.
