Hmong Stout Student Organization (HSSO) is a multicultural student organization that is recognized on the campus of UW-Stout. It was established in 1988 to provide social, cultural, and academic enrichment to its members and to bridge with other student organizations, as well as the surrounding community.

We are involved in different activities within our organization as well as collaborating with other multicultural organizations on campus to support and encourage the growth of diversity on campus.

Membership is open to all graduate and undergraduate students who are attending UW-Stout who would like to learn more about our culture and organization.

Our main goal is to provide an opportunity for interested individuals on campus and in the community to learn more about the Hmong culture. Moreover, we provide assistance to Hmong students in their social and educational adjustment to UW-Stout and the community.
